Dr. Charles M. Spitz
Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Spitz was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He went to undergrad at The Ohio State University. He always, from his youth, wanted to work with children and decided to become a pediatric dentist. He attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University. After dental school he served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969. He is a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and was presented the Bronze Star Medal for his service. After returning home from Vietnam, he attended his residency in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve University.

Upon graduation from his pediatric residency, Dr. Spitz and his wife, Beth, moved out West to San Francisco. Dr. Spitz was hired as the director of the Pediatric Dentistry graduate program at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Oakland. He started his own practice in the Mission District of San Francisco in 1975 and has served Bay Area patients ever since. In 1985, Dr. Spitz opened the current office in San Mateo where he has practiced for over 30 years.

Dr. Spitz and his wife moved to the Peninsula in 1977 with their two young boys, Brian and Michael. He and his wife were very involved in the community while raising their boys, serving on committees and coaching sports throughout the years, which has solidified Dr. Spitz as a fixture in the community. He also served as the president of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry in 1982.

Dr. Spitz and his wife, Beth, currently live on the Peninsula with their Yorkshire Terrier, Abby. They enjoy visiting Southern California where their two grown boys live.

Dr. Tyler Davis
Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Davis was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. He attended undergrad at Dartmouth College where he also played on the basketball team. Inspired by his own father’s profession as a pediatric dentist, Dr. Davis attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from his class and then proceeded to complete his residency in pediatric dentistry at Boston University/Boston Medical Center, where he was the chief resident.

Dr. Davis married the love of his life, Kimmie, and moved to the Bay Area in 2012 with their dog, Lily, a white maltipoo (maltese and poodle mix). Kimmie is a native of the Peninsula and grew up five minutes away from Dr. Davis’ current office location. Dr. Davis and his wife have 4 children, Charlotte, TJ, Maysie and Ella which keep them busy all year long.

Dr. Davis and his two brothers are all pediatric dentists. It is safe to say dentistry runs in the enamel in his family. His brothers and father practice together in Tucson, AZ.

Dr. Davis is proud to be an Eagle Scout, one of the highest honors in the Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time Dr. Davis loves spending time with his family, hiking, golfing, playing basketball and reading. He is an avid dental literature reader and is proactive on staying up to date on all the newest materials and equipment in the dental field.

“We emphasize a conservative approach to care and we believe that patients appreciate this cornerstone of our practice along with our forthright honesty in explaining care treatment options.”
