Fun First Visit

We want to ease your children into dental treatment with an inviting, comfortable, and fun first visit to our office. As your child enters our office, he or she will be greeted by our friendly staff. At Spitz & Davis Pediatric Dentistry, we offer a variety of amenities – from toys, books, prizes, and video games to a kid-friendly environment designed to help your child feel relaxed – that will create a good first impression of a dental office and help them form a solid foundation for future experiences at the dentist.

 

Before any procedure or treatment is performed, our experienced dentist and his assistant will utilize a technique called, “tell-show-do,” where they will describe the treatment, show the various instruments used in the treatment, and then actually perform the procedure. This technique is very helpful in allaying the fears and anxiety of a child’s first dental visit.

 

Proper techniques in brushing and flossing are reviewed and stressed on every dental visit. Your child will be given a hand mirror to help visualize areas requiring thorough brushing and flossing, allowing him or her to be more active and attentive to oral health care.
